Forward Multimedia: 2012 The Year In Review and 2013 Overview

2012 is the first full year of Forward Multimedia, having only been registered as a company in Trinidad & Tobago in May 2011. Though a relatively new business, we were able to quickly establish our brand and by now, position ourselves as a premier local web design company, a ‘cut above’ so to speak.

This is by no small measure because of the emphasis we place on our website to make sure it’s always up to date, relevant and useful to our visitors looking for a Trinidad web designer.

2012 In Review- Using our accomplishments to plan for next year

      • Consistent top half of first page of Google search results for 3 major keywords: website design trinidad, ‘trinidad website design’ and ‘e-commerce trinidad and tobago’ as a result of our active Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques
      • Awarded ‘Inbound Marketing Professional’ badge from Hubspot certifying us for qualified SEO services
      • Thirty (30) new websites added to our portfolio in 2012, including some prominent names like Labidco Port, Linda’s Bakery
      • Invited to be an official partner for Global Entrepreneurship Week 2012 which we did  via our Enterprising Nation series of articles written especially for GEW
      • Latter 2012 saw more requests for our online marketing services
      • We ceased print advertising altogether (we had maintained a classified ad under Website Services in the Express in first half 2012) relying on our search position to do its work

2013 Overview- Our overall plan and focus in the coming year

      • Some tweaks and improvements to our website- pages, navigation etc.
      • Emphasis on Online Marketing services using social media, You Tube videos (produced by us), email marketing
      • Focus on SEO services
      • Special client-only services (sorry, clients are getting a confidential newsletter about this)
      • More promotion using T&T Small Business Network
      • E-Commerce in Trinidad & Tobago book will be published piecemeal and in book format chapter by chapter
      • Revised pricing structure for FULL ADVANCE PAYMENT for all services- this may be a bitter pill to swallow but is necessary as we’ve had a perennial problem all of 2012 with the 50% down-payment system which had projects dragging on for months

About admin

I am Zaf Rahaman, owner of Forward Multimedia Ltd, a Trinidad based digital agency now in our 15th year. Through my experience acquired on the ground since 2011, I’ve become known as one of the foremost authorities in E-Commerce, especially as it pertains to Trinidad & Tobago. I began writing blog articles on various topics after observing the lack of online information about local E-Commerce. These articles quickly propelled the Forward Multimedia to the number one position on Google for all major industry keywords, a position consistently held since without challenge. In 2018 I was an invited panelist in the annual Trinidad and Tobago Internet Governance Forum. Also in 2018 I was an invited speaker for the launch of the Virtual Caribbean DNS Entrepreneurship Center (VDECC) an initiative of ICANN- the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, the international body that that coordinates the Domain Name System (DNS) worldwide. I was also a stakeholder consultant for the Ministry of Trade & Industry’s National E-Commerce Policy which was passed in December 2018, with many of my recommendations making it to the final policy. Most of all, I love to write AND love to write on everything website and E-Commerce related to help business owners in Trinidad & Tobago get the most out of their online presence. ALL articles and pages on my site are written by me, in my voice, from the ground up, and for you, from a Trini perspective, using local examples and applications.
